December 2025, Mooncrest Neighborhood Programs brought holiday warmth and support to families across our community. Through the generosity of donors and the dedication of staff and volunteers, 127 children received holiday gifts, ensuring that siblings and entire families felt included and supported during the season. Our outreach extended beyond individual households, welcoming community outreach clients and strengthening our partnership with the Moon Township Police Department, whose collaboration helped us reach families in need. In addition to holiday gifts, 57 families received food support, easing financial strain and helping ensure nutritious meals during a time when many budgets are stretched thin.
Health and wellness were also a key focus this season. In collaboration with the MAYA Organization, we hosted three nutrition workshops that brought families together to learn and engage. Participants explored healthy, budget-friendly recipes, received fresh produce, and shared strategies for making nutritious food choices accessible and sustainable. These workshops fostered meaningful community connection while empowering families with practical tools they can use year-round.
