Community Earth Day Cleanup Event
In a spirited celebration of Earth Day, children from Mooncrest Neighborhood Programs’ after-school program and their families hit the sidewalks, curbs, and grassy corners of the neighborhood to take part in a community-wide litter pickup. Covering all seven streets of Mooncrest and the park adjacent to the Sr. Rene Procopio Activity Center, the event transformed a typical spring day into a vibrant display of teamwork, education, and environmental care.
The Earth Day cleanup wasn’t just about tidying up. It was about planting seeds of awareness and pride in the place they all call home. For these families, Earth Day was more than just a calendar date—it was a moment of shared responsibility and joy. -
Inspiration & Support
Mooncrest Neighborhood Programs and the Moon community lost a leader, dear friend and dedicated supporter. May his example of love and his sense of community inspire us all. Please pray for his peaceful repose and for his family, friends and all whom he served as they process this great loss.James Anthony Vitale
